In recent years, as rapid development of data transmission technology the changing quantity of information is increasing day and day, people is asking more bandwidth explosively and new mode and technology has been presenting. Fibre-optic communication has big advantage of more channels capacity, thus it has replaced former communication mode and is developing very quickly.This article has combined the feature and requirement of data communication about photoelectric tracking control equipment and provides an optic transmission system which bandwidth can reach to 10Gbps. This design is for improving Data communication bandwidth of photoelectric tracking control system and based on criterion of 10GBASE-X after studing of physical layer of 10Gigabit Ethernet accorded with IEEE. This paper has analyzed the principle of this system which consists of converting data circuits and light catching module, using FPGA of Arria GX series produced by Altera Company to implement data conversion between XGMII and XAUI and using SFP light catching module to achieve transition between light and electricity.This article focuses on:1. Studied 10Gigabit Ethernet more deeply and analyzed three modes of 10GBASE-X,10GBASE-R,10GBASE-W. Drawed up design scheme based on 10GBASE-X and combined the requirement of project.2. Designed the hardware circuit of system. Including video signal level conversion circuit, controled signal conversion circuit, signal level conversion circuit of serial communication, data transition unit between XGMII interface and XAUI interface, optical/electrical and electrical/optical conversion circuits, power supply circuit and clock generator .3. Accomplished system debugging. Verificated the integrated circuit function of the key technologies. Including the timing design, simulation test and debugged the system. At last, I have given the test parameters of the system.4. Completed the camera digital image transmission in Base mode and Full mode.
