Developments of automatic control technology, computer technology and network communications technology have made monitoring and control of the industrial situation possibly. The Field Bus technology, by its advanced features including simple structure, low cost, easy maintenance, high reliability and source-opening, has become the investigating hotspot in the monitoring and controlling industrial area.This article aims at the Oil & Gas Mixed Pump's requirements on Offshore Oil Platform. It has high reliability and flexibility to utilize satellite communication to design data transmission of remote monitoring as will as declining the cost of subsea cable installation and manipulator's workload which embodies the concept of people-oriented.After deeply analysis of the characteristics about Ethernet and FCS, the remote monitoring system is constructed in which FCS technique is used in field control subsystem and Ethernet technique is used in remote monitor subsystem. This kind of structure fully embodies the advantages of Ethernet technique, such as high speed of data transmission, good compatibility and network performance. In additional, FCS is fit for the equipment control layer because of its strong ability of anti-disturbance and good performance in safety.The field control subsystem that based on the Oil & Gas Mixed Pump on Offshore Oil Platform utilizes the S7-300 series PLC by Siemens to control the fieid equipment and the Siemens transducer for collecting and analyzing live data stream. The upper level utilizes IPC to record and monitor the data and issue warnings. The communications of the system is realized through the PROFIBUS-DP field bus network. The configurations of the hardware and control program are carried out on SIMATIC STEP 7 and monitoring interface is designed under Visual C++ environment.The remote monitor subsystem utilizes satellite communication to realize data transmission. By analyzing the development of satellite communications, IPSTAR is chosen as the satellite access network terminal. Data transmission technology of OPC is applied to fulfill the integration between control network and information network. Techniques such as Socket, B/S, Jsp/Servlet and Java Applet are adopted to design the real-time data transmission for Internet client through web server. The basic security techniques for network communication are presented, and some measures are brought forward for the whole remote monitor subsystem at the end.The field control subsystem of the Oil & Gas Mixed Pump on Offshore Oil Platform has been designed and implemented, and the integrated scheme of remote monitoring based on satellite communication has been proposed and designed which shows better popularization benefit and reference value.
