With the development of modern industry and technology, electroplating has been widely used in machinery, electronic, instrument, light industry, geology, transportation, and national defense industry and it is also very close to the common life of people.Due to the acute competition of the market, the production efficiency and product quality must be enhanced. So, it is significant to enhance the control performance of electroplating production line and reduce production cost.This paper analyzes technological and control requirements combined with practical situation on the basis of design of zinc plating automatic production line. The control system of automatic production line was also designed based on touch screen and PLC. The design scheme was also proposed in detail. Then, the hardware part of production line control system was designed especially focused on the unstable sliding of driving and imprecision of location.To improve the tracking performance, the control for driving speed must be studied. First, the transfer function of frequency converter and electric motor is constructed. Next, the classical control theorem of PID and modern fuzzy control theorem was compared and a proper fuzzy PID controller suitable to frequency converter and electric motor control requirement was designed by combining modern fuzzy control theorem and classical control theorem. Then, corresponding control rule was also designed to optimize the tracking performance. Finally, Matlab simulation verified the feasibility and efficiency of the proposed method.Besides, the temperature control has also been researched in this paper. The expert PID control has been used to take place of original single closed-loop control method while temperature achieved target value smoothly, the switching of the steam valve degraded and lifespan of vale was prolonged.The software design of production line control system is presented in the end . The fuzzy PID intelligent algorithm was applied in the PLC control system. As the human-computer interaction is considered, the touch screen is used as man-machine interface. The operation of the state and process was visible and controllable via the design of professional software.
