As the level of lives is improved,people ask more and more demands.Smart home is emerging.Most of the academic researches of smart home are based on intelligent system which connects many controllable devices in house in a network.Learning remote control on the market can control two devices at most and it can't meet the demand of multi-devices.Given of the above circumstances,a schedule of multi-functional touch-screen remote controller was designed.A microcomputer unit is the main controller and a touch screen made of conductive ink is the input device.Accessories include serial port,infrared diode,LED and so on.That is hardware platform of the remote controller.The objects the remote controller controls are TV,set-top box and air-condition and so on.There are three modes set in the remote controller and they are sliding mode,mouse mode and digit mode.Three modes are based on software state machine.After collecting points from the touch screen,the state machine processes and analyzes the information and selects the correct key to send to the controlled device.State machine of sliding mode analyzes information from the touch screen,and then sends the corresponding key directly.Mouse mode is similar to a touch pad on a notebook PC.When sliding operation is executed on the screen,the remote controller can be used to quantify the sliding distance,and the infrared signal is transmitted in accordance with a user-defined infrared protocol format.In the digit mode,the state machine preprocesses information from the touch screen and reads the infrared key,in addition that digital recognition module complete digital recognition task.The state machine reads the key and sends command after receiving the result of digital recognition.Eventually,according to the infrared receiver and infrared protocol of the controlled object,remote controller sends infrared signal to control the devices.Therefore,the controlled terminal does not install any hardware or software tools.The result of experiment shows that the software platform of the multi-functional touch-screen remote controller runs well,and the purpose of controlling the various appliance is realized.The multi-functional touch-screen remote controller integrates many remote control devices into one with low cost.As a product extended to the market,the remote controller will have a good prospect.
