Along with social economy's development, there are more and more people using vehicles. For those possessing types of massive vehicles' institution, vehicle management becomes an important job. How to make the administrative personnels konw the vehicles condition, driver condition, and the available arrangement dispatch a vehicle, and how to enhance working efficiency, to raise vehicles' using efficiency, to reduce vehicles' working costs and the maintenance cost, are becoming a hot topic for various units.The thesis introduced the home and abroad developing situation and the background of the Vehicle management system. And it illustrates briefly the main problems which should be solved. We also talked about the target; design rules, system architecture and system funtion modules, and analyzed the core business, user interface design, system interfaces. Also the techniques were provided.Here are the key problems:First, on the basis of the distribution techniques and component techniques, the information system was divided into three blocks: representation logic, business logic, and data management. The RMI techniques in Java were used to realize the three-tier architecture and distribution application.Second, for the design pattern, it follows the object-oriented design concept of JAVA, combines the current popular three frames (Struts + Hibernater + Spring) conformity technology, utilizes MVC type development pattern. During the development period, it is divided into it the the business logic level, control layer and view layer, which is advantageous for the later renewal and maintenance. On function it is divided into the display layer, the business logic and data layer.Third, core business. The main concern is how to realize vehicle dispatching, refuel management, expense management, the annual inspection management, the service management, regulations violation, staff management, system administration and so on, as well as during various modules relational complex service logic.Fourth, contact surface design. Contact surface design requires friendly, succinct, feasible. The system adopts B/S construction. The client side will demonstrate by page's form that this need filter and shield the unusual information appeared in the operating process.
