Research On Metadata Retrieval Model Of Education Resources Based On Ontology

There is no uniform semantic description in the traditional management of education resources, and as a result, how to realize semantic retrieval of education resources and increase the utilization of the digital data is the challenge of education resources management. Ontology can solve the problem, because it describes information at semantic level as well as supports logic reasoning. Combing with the status of college education resources construction and the present situation of ontology at home and abroad, this paper puts forward a metadata retrieval model of education resources. Under the methodology of software engineering, one domain-ontology is developed based on OWL-language and practices were also taken for the creation of education resources ontology. It can fully explore the intrinsically connections of education resources and meet the needs of retrieval and integration about related resources through mapping various education resources to ontology. The paper also discusses storage method and resources retrieval of the ontology resources and finally constructs a metadata retrieval model of education resources based on ontology using Jana-inference engine.The innovations of the paper are as followed. The ontology is adopted, and the current education network resources are surveyed, analyzed and valued in the way of education metadata. The creation of education resources ontology is practiced. It proves the feasibility of retrieval about education resources model based ontology.
