Ontology-Based Semantic Retrieval Of Teaching Resources Applied Research

With the rapid development of internet technology and the normalization of highereducation in our country, a lot of excellent courses, on-line courses, discipline websites andinternet teaching resources libraries are constructed. The amount of the teaching resources isgrowing very fast. With the traditional teaching resources management, the informationretrieval technology is based on the simple matching of the key words. However, due to thedifferent hobbies of the users, the description of the needed retrieval information is different.Traditional retrieval method of the teaching resources is hard to satisfy the teachers’ and thestudents’ need of the precision and recall from the massive resources. Thus, the urgentproblem of the present teaching management is how to retrieve the needed information fromthe massive teaching resources.To solve this problem and improve the performance of teaching resources retrieval, weintroduce the Semantic search technology into teaching resources retrieval. Firstly, we studiedthe architecture of the Semantic Web and the technical description of technique and bodylanguages, classify different ontology construction methods of different areas; then completethe ontology library of quality courses based on metadata referred to documentation ofstandards of education resources; secondly, we studied ontology-based resource retrievalmethods, then proposed expansion-first improvement ideas and made the experiments, theresults show that this idea can increase the precision rate; finally, we implement thesemantic retrieval system in my school’s quality course website, and shows the retrievalsystem.A lot searches shows that compared with traditional keyword matching system, thissystem have a higher precision rate and recall rate, and this system more suite formulti-keyword reach and fuzzy retrieval.
