With the development of networking and communication technology, the wireless remote monitoring system obtained the considerable development. In order to achieve real-time, reliability and visibility of prairie ecological remote monitoring system, this article has studied the prairie ecological monitoring system which based on GPRS, uses the mature GPRS technology to convenient realize the wireless transmission of remote data.This article first introduced the background and significance of the subject, followed by elaborated in detail the GPRS technology's basic theory of long-distance wireless data transmission, then from both hardware and software introduced in detail of prairie ecological monitoring system's design and implementation. Finally, the article summarizes the achievement that the subject research obtained and analyzes the direction which system's deficiency and further studies.The hardware design mainly introduced the performance and the principle of work of camera gathering module, GPRS module, DSP microprocessor, temperature sensor, humidity sensor and other hardware devices. This article mainly completed the monitor center's design and implementation, uses B/S three-tier architecture, caused the system structure clear, to be advantageous for system's maintenance and the expansion; chooses C# as the development language, uses ASP.NET technical design Web pages; Uses SQL Server 2005 to build system's network database and realizes the data information interaction by the ADO.NET technology which is suitable for visiting the network database. Users can enter the Web inquiry page of monitor center by browser, convenient and efficient to achieve real-time monitor and inquiry of remote monitoring terminal, have been tested, the system operating normally, each estimate function realizes completely. The end of the article summarizes the achievement which the topic research obtained and analyzes the direction which system's deficiency and further studies.
