In 2002, the engineering of PHS has begun. In 2003, the PHS system has been used widely. With the users and data quantity unceasing expansion, iPAS individual access system of UT Starcom Corporation has not been able to satisfy the growing service and operation. The main questions were the system data disperses, unable to support the service, alarm function not enough, System automation not enough and so on. So Foshan Telecommunication Company established the PHS project group to solute all questions, developed "Foshan PHS support system" in view of the above questions. This system including 3 functional modules. They are the basic data management module, Synthesis support and the service support module, technological exchange and system administration module three sub-systems.In this support and optimization of PHS project, my job was assists to complete the overall system construction, database design and system's safety design. Responsible for the design and implementatio of synthesis support and the service support independent. The system is expected to realize the purpose, which is managing the PHS data by scientific, standard and automatic method, network sharing, improving the reliability and security of the PHS network and powerful supporting to promote all kinds of services successfully. And the system follows the design principle of manipulation, expansibility, opening and security. According to the purpose and principle, the system is divided into 3 modules. They are the basic data management module, the short message alarm module and the service support module.The system introduces B/S 3-layers network architecture. It collects data periodically from basic database by application server. Considering the security of server groups, we take the different method of data collection with the different application. The system collects the original data by variable interface. And it does the second analysis and conclusion on the base of the original data. The system unifies large numbers of the equipment information, alarm information and subscribers' service information to administrate. So it offers the administrators and operators an efficient reference on the united WEB platform. It also has a lot of advantages, such as convenient use, simple operation and quick maintenance and management.Through the actual run, has obtained the good practical effect, and provided new concepts for construction of PHS network and for management of equipments in telecommunication industries. With the continuous innovation of the PHS service, the system is required to develop the new function techniques on the base of the existing function to e Because of the useful of interface technology, the system is not only used in iPAS PHS system but also can be extended to the new service and operation in the future 3G system with just some simple modification.
