Grid is a new way to share the distributed resources on the Internet. It connects the geographically distributed computing resources, storage resource and information resources, and it provides users with a uniform, standard grid services. Database grid technology is a new technology which is designed for large and complex applications. It is the technology which combined the data grid key technology of data storage, transmission, access and management with traditional database technology. Use of the database grid technology can be designed to achieve the integration of heterogeneous data.By researching on database grid technology deeply, the integration system was designed to integrate the students'information in the JobGrid. After researching on the JobGrid, heterogeneous database problem which the JobGrid faces is seriously. The JobGrid platform also needs to use grid metadata technology and user access control technology, and a suitable design must be made for all of them.Based on the analysis of the problem which the platform faced, JobGrid data integration system is divided into three levels: Virtual Resource layer, Data access layer and the Application service layer. Virtual Resource layer's function is connecting the platform with college grid nodes. Its main role is to get data from grid nodes and then converse the data to the standard format. This layer also monitors the grid nodes. Data access layer is used to manage the grid nodes which join the platform. The modules of this layer get the grid node information from the Grid resources list, and then it constructs the user request object which users can get data from and no need to know the information of the grid nodes. The application service layer is used to provide functional support to the user portal. By the modules of this layer users can add and modify the metadata information, and they can search and integrate the data of grid nodes.The system was in serious test. In the functional tests, users can search students in the system, and add the grid nodes very easily. The system has a function of grid nodes monitoring.
