Digital video surveillance and control system is a new security system with integrated digital signal process technology, digital communication technology, computer technology, network technology, multimedia technology with the surveillance technology together. As to every kind of voice-and-video signal, it can realize sampling, processing, communication, displaying and play-back. Furthermore, it can joint with the computer network system in order to integrate and share every kind of message, such as data, voice and video at a advancing level. So we say that the digital video surveillance and control system has made a grate progress not only in idea but also in method. With the help of computer network technology, it transports digital surveillance message to network and integrates with message administration system. Then, each computer in the net can use and manage these message easily and efficiently.Basing on the market require of the DVR(digital video recorder), this thesis provides some new methods and ways in technology, especially in hardware design, software design and network platform design. At last, after comparing with traditional security system in characteristics and specifications, this thesis presents prospect in technology for the future.
