With the yearly improvement of our national defense military power and the rapid development of the cause of the informatization of military management, the expertise of military command and management is required to be improved and refined constantly to enhance the efficiency of command and the level of informatization. The comprehensive tendency analysis, which can heighten the ability of acquiring the battlefield information and analyzing the battlefield tendency, is the core link of the military command and management and the inevitable demand of the informatization development of building-up the military command.Taking the WebGIS comprehensive tendency analysis system, which is developed by an institue and based on the thought of GIG (Global Information Grid),as its content, this thesis immerges further into the application of the WebGIS formation technology in real-time target monitoring.The thesis firstly introduces the principles and main features of WebGIS and analyzes the current mainstream construction technology—WebGIS, as well as the performance characteristics of map server; furthermore, it gives a profound analysis to the comprehensive tendency analysis of the functional requirements, non-functional requirements and system development constraints, then makes use of UML tool and establishes the system functional model. Based on above, it explores the design project of the system from the aspects of functional architecture design, physical architecture design, spatial data and attribute data architecture design and developing framework design. What's more, according to the request of system performance on monitor real-time target track mapping, target track and a seamless interface and updated map, this paper presents the technical program by using a database connection pool technology and Ajax technology. The thesis also discusses in detail the implementations of key technologies on dynamic target real-time information acquisition, generation and control of layers, geographic coordinates and screen coordinates between IE conversion, map display and basic operation of the technology, as well as the introduction of Ajax to achieve seamless map refresh, Oracle Spatial Geographic Data storage, VML in IE browser graphics and so on.The system developed by the thesis has certain reference value to raise the level of military command and operations, to improve the analysis and decision-making capacity of commanders, as well as the construction of military command informatization.
