With the fast development of distributed real-time computing technology, the design and development of new generation of military distributed real-time system nowadays must take many features into consideration, such as: distribution, real-time, collaboration, reliability, and adaptability, etc..Military systems are special purpose systems. They may have different software and data according to their system specific requirements. But the system platform has some common features such as: data communication. Accordingly, this paper presents the concept of Adaptive Soft-bus technique. With the help of CORBA technology. Adaptive Soft-bus technique deals with how to construct a military distributed real-time system communication platform to resolve the problem of sharing and integration of complex, distributed, heterogeneous, real-time data and functional modules.With XT an Satellite Control Center's control network and control technology renovation project as the application background, taking its requirements into consideration, and based on TAO, a classic CORBA compliant ORB, this paper makes detailed design of the Adaptive Soft-bus, to construct a Adaptive Soft-bus communication system of Xi'an Satellite Monitoring and Controlling System. The main research contents include: Adaptive interaction of heterogeneous tasks: using TAO real-time event channel, we provide:(1) the consistent and standard interfaces,(2) real-time monitoring and controlling mechanism,(3) many communication models.(4) reliability and security mechanism. Adaptive communication of real-time data: combining the real-time event service and scheduling service of TAO. and extending the TAO real-time event channel, the real-time adaptability of the satellite monitoring and controlling system can be satisfied. The key data can be transmitted and processed in time. We implement:(1) communication flow control mechanism. (2) priority adjustment mechanism.
