The automatic target-scoring technology is a practical technology for firearms shooting training.Compared with the way of manual target-scoring,it has advantages in accuracy,rate,safety and fairness.The automatic target- scoring system's application has the important meaning for improving the gunnery training level. It is the paper's starting point to research and develop a automatic target-scoring system,which is easy to operate,low-cost and easy to popularize.The automatic target-scoring system in this paper is a embedded electronic system based on the technology of image processing and digital singnal processor.This electronic system takes a chip of digital singnal processor as kernel, acquires the target's picture,identifies bullet holes by image processing,and figures out their scorings for outputting. According to the system functional requirements,this design choses TI's DM642 DSP as the image processing core,and OmniVision's OV7141 image sensor as the image acquisition device. As a result of highly integrated functions, this system has the following salient features: compact size, installation of flexible, low-cost.From the viewpoint of hardware design, the system is divided into several parts:DM642's smallest system, image acquisition module, the serial output module, power supply module. This article detailed the hardware circuit design. In the design, the circuit schematic and the PCB is completed using a kind of software called Protel DXP. The system's PCB design takes into account a variety of technologic problems in high-speed complex circuit.In software, this paper refers to the general method about TI's DSP programming,and completes the program for image acquisition, Serial Port asynchronous communication,system's bootloader.The main part of soft system for application is recognising bullet-hole by the way of image processing,which is realized by several steps: threshold determination, image geometric rectification, image binarization and bullet-hole recognition, bullet-hole's scoring.In the development process, the system hardware circuit is debugged with functional testing program.The detailed steps of bullet-hole recognition by image processing is tested.As testing showed,the system is able to realize each module function,and to correctly accomplish the chest silhouette target's bullet-hole recognising and scoring.
