Research And Implementation Of Personal Information Portal Based On Aggregation Technology

With the development and wide spread of Internet it enriches sources of information for people. However, due to the heterogeneity and lack of structure of Web information resources, large amounts of information make it more and more difficult for people to obtain the information they need from Internet. Current technologies for information service, like search engines and RSS based integration systems, have limitations in accuracy and coverage, which can not satisfy peoples'growing needs for information. Personal information service plays an important role in the Internet, which is based on the diverse interests and preferences of users and provides personalized service for each user. It will be the tendency of information service on Internet. Internet Personalized Information Service is a solution for the"Information Overload"and"Information Labyrinth"problems.This paper describes the basic principles and solutions of information aggregator technology especially RSS, and analyzes its application features and personalizing characteristics of information requirements and services. Put forward a solution of Internet Personalized Service, which is based on RSS technology and portal technology, we analyze the Web information extraction technology and Chinese automatic summarization technology, by extracting available useful up-to-date information distributed in Web utilizes RSS to reorganize the information better. Meanwhile portal technology integrating information aggregation and personalized information service into a framework, building personal information portal based on aggregation technology (RSS Portal). RSS Portal can provide personalized customization and application integration, realize the uniform user management and authority management. RSS Portal provides personalized information service to end users, for whom it is not necessary to know where and how to get the information they need. It gets over the disadvantage of the traditional information obtaining method of information aggregation and provides an efficient method to obtain information.This paper some RSS Portal key technologies should be further studied are concerned. In this paper we present a new LSA-based method in automatic text summarization of Chinese and a method to automatically generate RSS from HTML documents. By using open source Liferay portal as guidance, we built a prototype system of RSS Portal. The result shows that RSS Portal performs well in information extraction, automatic summarization and also in expansibility, which indicate the validity of RSS Portal.
