Design And Implementation Of A Campus Information Portal

As the important base of personnel training and technology developing, colleges and universities need to provide a more comprehensive information services to meet the need of all kinds of users. As an important part of digital campus, Campus Information Portal is getting more and more attention in domestic colleges and universities. This topic aims to establish a Campus Information Portal, solve the problem of application integration, data integration and personalization in the construction of digital campus.By analyzing the current development situation of Campus Information Portal and combining the comparison of Campus Information Portal, Enterprise Information Portal and Comprehensive Information Portal, this paper puts forward a construction scheme of a Campus Information Portal. First, this paper introduces the technology and related implementation principle for basic module. Then this paper gives the overall technical architecture of the portal by analyzing the present situation of Campus Information Portal and gives the overall design of single sign on, data integration, application integration, personalization and backstage management modules by analyzing functional requirements of portal. Finally, designed each module in detail and implemented five modules, including single sign on based on the technology of Cookie, Shared Data Center applying the technology of ODI, application integration using Web Service, personalization adopting the technology of Ext Js and backstage management based on Struts2 architecture.The Campus Information Portal this paper introduced has been put into trial operation, basically achieving the expected effect. The implementation of this information portal not only has a high practical value, but also has a good reference value for the design and implementation of similar portal.
