As an important part of weaponry technical specification, the requirements of equipment RMS exert an important influence on equipment's capability and operate & support cost. Although china has developed reliability engineering and maintainability engineering of equipment at present, which partly sovle the maintenance problem, it neglect some other influencing factors related to support, yet can not efficiently improve the capability. This paper use a model framework called goal tree/success tree-dynamic master logic diagram (GTST-DMLD), and put forward modeling method which detailedly describe each stage of equipment RMS life cycle, and build an integrated comprehensive model of equipment RMS systematically.Combining with computer simulation technology, a system simulation model and corresponding simulation flow which bases on description model of equipment RMS are given. The paper offers a feasible technical means for optimization of equipment life-span RMS and maintenance support. The main contents of this thesis are outlined as follows:(1) Analyzing the working contents and flows of the full life of weapons and equipments RMS. Combining with national military standard, the effects and the operation interface of modeling and simulation in the full life of weapons and equipments are analyzed. Then with the derivation of characteristics which the equipments RMS simulation model should possess, applicable basic model is provided to support the research of full life RMS Simulation.(2) Using GTST-DMLD to build a model for equipment system. According to different stage of equipment life cycle, combining with each stage's characteristic to build different levels and different granularity description model. Introducing hierarchical modeling to concrete modeling process, putting forward model integration method based on GTST-DMLD maintenance support function model in order to meet modeling request for different stage and object.(3) Building an equipment RMS synthetical simulation model. Dividing vary module according to different simulation object. Based on the analyses of system evaluation index and maintenance support flow, each simulation module's modeling flow is given. Finally the paper gives a demonstration to account for the validity of equipment RMS Modeling and Simulation method in this paper.
