A Research On The Application Of MDA In Post-Graduate Education Management

As a software development framework put forward by Object Management Group, MDA (Model Driven Architecture) emphasizes the role of models in software development, and achieves the goal of decoupling design and implementation. Introducing MDA to the development of Post-Graduate Education Management System will effectively solve the problems that continuously disturb developers for a long time.The paper will firstly summarize the problems existing in nowadays' Post-graduate Education Management System's development, upon which the advantages of MDA are well studied. The dissertation will dig deeply into MDA architecture, such as Meta Object Facility, the mapping from meta-model to other information formats and Common Warehouse Meta-model. The definition of model transformation is also brought forward, whose rules and characteristics are analyzed, based on which comes out a formalized notation. And the disadvantages of model transformation in real application will be explained.The essay will take the CUST Post-Graduate Education Management System as the target project; PIM will be created, based on the system's business rules, model transformation rules will be defined for transforming PIM to PSM and PSM to implementation. The development process indicates that MDA will synchronize documentation and implementation. The automatic model transformation not only reduces the time in development, but also improves system quality and reusability in a large scale.
