Research On Non-contact Method Shell Outer Diameter Measurement Technology Based On CCD

In order to resolve the Shell outer diameter Instrument problems such as inefficiency, low precision and difficult to realize the on-line measurement, the Paper design one of the methods, which is using linear array CCD and computer system to achieve lossless non-contact inspecting of shell outer diameter.This Paper choose semiconductor laser as the light source, make the theoretical analysis of collimating and expanding system, and work out the expanding magnification of optical system. Use TCD2557D CCD device as the receive system, and design the drive system, then by use of PCI bus to realize the data communication with the computer, at the same time give the algorithm of shell outside diameter.The core component TCD2557D is one of the image sensors, which is high sensitive, low dark current and contains 5340 photodiodes. Its image sensing element size is 7μm, and the total length of image sensing element array is 37.38mm, so, it's possible to realize the high measuring accuracy by use of this device to do non-contact measurement.
