The Ideology Construction Of The Media Events

Media events are one kind of phenomenon of mass communication. They are live reports on significant events that have the newsworthy through the parties of the case and the media Pre-organizing and advance planning and through the media to integrate various resources and reporting means, full-focusing, tracking. Media case interrupted the flow of other conventional case with a monopoly, interference and ceremonial characteristics. Media Event easily arise people's concern of the case and the recognition of the mainstream values of society to achieve their social integration. In short, Media case is of the nature of the ideological construction.Media Events attract the participation of many media, showing a cooperating and interacting situation, i.e. a way to integrate shows. The unique integrated showting style in media events is to meet its needs of ideologies construction, embodiment and co-existence. Such a constructing way makes media events a carrier of mainstream ideology.This paper adopted Beijing Olympic Games as the case study and used text analysis, analyzing its content, text forms and the way of ideological construction. Thus, we find that the media events have the different way of ideological construction from the general news.This paper introduces ideological analysis into the study of media events, analyzing the mass communication phenomenon from a new perspective and discussing how media events, as a reporting way, represent the speakers' hidden value and ideology. Inaddition,the paper analyzes the multi-ideology contained in media events texts by means of field theory and points out the way of multi-ideological construction, embodiment, coexistence and the various logics behind.
