The Network Course Data Exchange Platform Based On SOA

Network Course is one the most import form of expression of distance education, which is flexible, opening-up, based on resource, and play the vital role in further education, education for all-around, and professional education. Many network course being developed for continuous development of distance education made a great contribution for information education resource development in china.The process of network development is to wedge the course content in html web page and to store the course structure information in the database of network education management platform in order to manage network course, respectively. The network course defined in this paper refers to the total of html web page, video, audio, pictures, and network course structure data stored in the database. There is no specification for the database design of network education management platform, such as the difference of technical platform, the diversity of database design. Some network education management platform is compliance with some standards such as SCORM, but thousands of network education management platforms are still non-standard. The network course resource can not be shared among the network education management platforms. CELTS(China e-learning Technology Standardization Committee) was proposed by Education Technology Committee of China by referring to the IMS Standard and with some modification for localization, which is not only good integrity, supported widely and high authority like IMS but also applied for china education well, and is suitable for education resource development in China. Meta-data specification and content wrapper specification proposed by CELTS provide standard data structure for network course data exchange and also provide standard for network course exchange.SOA (Service-Oriented Architecture) is one way to construct distributed system and extract business function as service for reuse, assembly, integrity in order to decrease development cost and effective development.
