Celts And Web Services-based Education Network Platform For Research And Development

Along with the technology of computer and network applying to the education widely, we entered an era of digitalized education. The educational websites provide all kinds of services about teaching and education. They play more and more important roles in digitalized education. But when we develop the educational websites we will find such a problem that the resources of the websites can't be reused or integrated with other websites freely. Among the websites there are many barriers in sharing and cooperating the resources. That is so-called"information isolation".I tried to integrate the CELTS with the technology of Web Services to form a resolution to the development of educational websites to resolve the problem of"information isolation"in the educational websites. CELTS give the specific rules in the data access layer and business layer of the development of educational websites. Also they provide rules to the construction of educational websites totally. So we can say that CELTS give guarantee for the development of educational websites that can be cooperated on the base level. But CELTS don't and also they can't provide the ultimate digital resolution to deal with the business about teaching or education. So I decided to use the technology of Web Services to resolve the business of teaching and education and to construct the teaching or educational system.In the paper, I discussed the use of CELTS and Web Services in the development of educational websites respectively and the relationship between them. The possibility and feasibility of integration of CELTS and Web Services was also elaborated in the paper. Based on the analysis of the software development engineering, I gave the model of development of educational websites based on CELTS and Web Services and elaborated the characteristic and superiority of the resolution in the end.In the last part of the paper I have developed a center of educational resources as an example of development of education websites based on CELTS and Web Services. Through this example I gave the general procedures and steps in the development of educational websites based on CELTS and Web Services.
