The main function of a store-network-resource enterprise whose fundamental resources are house assets is to let houses under a lease or to operate them by itself. Almost every house performs as a store. In the process of development, these houses have gone through quite a lot of removals and changes of property right which result in some tough problems, for instance, not a few of these houses have lost their files, people even can't figure out who is the real owner of theses houses, managers' responsibility is in chaos and such plights are going on. The enterprises are faced with the drain of national assets and the abuse of power. In addition, Electronic tables and papery documents are conventionally applied in business management and this style has no longer met the needs of managerial activities of store-network-resource enterprises. All the problems above make these enterprises eagerly demand a specific informationized platform. MIS, coupled with GIS, makes it possible to solve the problem caused by the spatial distribution characteristic of store network resources and the complicated operating mode. Considering the widespread existence of store-network-resource enterprises, software reusing turns out to be an urgent need so as to make the software serves a group of users instead of a single one. According to the facts mentioned above, the thesis discusses the design and development of SNRMIS which is the name short for Store-Network-Resource Management Information System by the means of domain engineering.Domain engineering is an effective reusing process for domain knowledge. In this thesis, the aims of software producers are divided into internal aim and external aim. Internal aim is to make profits while external aim is to meet consumers' demand. The relationship between the levels of software abstraction and the profits software producers make is elicited in the light of maximum profit and is regarded as a basis of software reusing technology which includes domain engineering.Domain engineering embraces quite a lot of methods and the author chooses Feature-Oriented-Domain-Analysis method to analyze and design SNRMIS domain because FODA is generally believed that it has a clear logic and a specific instruction. In the stage of domain analysis, the thesis produces SNRMIS domain organization and behavior scenes, a domain dictionary and three domain models including the feature model, the information model and the operation model. The author carries out domain design based on the outcome of domain analysis and then demonstrates SNRMIS domain specific software architecture and the mutual relation of the reusable components. In the stage of domain realization, the author develops the components of business layer using ArcEngine9.1 components in the IDE of C#.NET 2003.The thesis implements application engineering which takes Shanghai Happy Group CO. as an example on the base of the models, architectures and reusable components which take shape in the process of SNRMIS domain engineering. The efficiency and quality of the development work is improved and the demand side is satisfied with the final software system which indicates the preliminary success of SNRMIS domain engineering.The author at last comes to conclusions and put forward prospects. In the prospects the author proposes that there should be a unified standard which would help to generalize the outcome of SNRMIS domain engineering. In addition, the software system should play a more significant role in regulating the enterprises' managerial behavior; the abnormal behavior will be aggravated if the software just simply accommodates to it.
