The Design & Development Of Personalized Online Learning Community System Based On Semantic Web

Undoubtedly, Internet has deeply affected our community and every person. Beside the reality of life, people face another life in virtual. In the virtual life, people can shopping online, running business, having fun and, surely, learning online.In practice, online learning community looks more suitable for inspiring the learning enthusiasm of students. Students feel free to express themselves and are more willing to share their own knowledge with others.With the development of online learning communities, the quantity of learning resource expand rapidly, but on the other hand, it turn to be more difficult for students to find out resource them require.Researchers and professionals find out a way to guide student by using Tags or Social Bookmarking. However, those kinds of technology can only locate concepts students already know, and can not find out concepts in semantic related.I consider the approach that if we can leverage Semantic Web in online learning community, may be it is helpful to solve the problem we discuss above.In the front part of this thesis, I will introduce concepts, theories and technologies of Personalized Online Learning Community System base on Semantic Web. And in the latter part, we will discuss about the practice of design and development of the system.
