The game's development has been improved with the electronic technical development.Now the games running on different devices are starting to be developed and the overall development looks like the bamboo shoot after raining. There so many types of games,including the initial PC game,device game,mobile game,and TV game.IPTV(Internet Protocol Television),was firstly developed by Video Networks in 1999 and it is developed through the world.The game's development could refer to any device,including STB of IPTV naturally.IPTV C/S game,a branch of the IPTV,has been paid much more attentions by the market.Its main mode is that game run on the terminal device STB based on IPTV platform.For STB,its current functionality is similar to the mobile phone in the earlier state,i.e.,it belongs to the device which is very weak in the capability.There are many questions exist with the STB device in capability and over platform which is the barrier for game's development.There will be some solutions to the STB question in this essay with the analysis of the STB question and the discussion about the developing mode.IPTV C/S game,which is the same to the PC C/S game in the basic characteristic, could be developed by the technology of PC game or PC software.The exploration of this dissertation starts from the layer mode of PC.The discussions mainly refer to the three models of IPTV C/S game,i.e.,hall model,communication model and general game model.They are about how to design,develop and implement IPTV C/S game by using the technology of PC game or PC software.It is the hope to improve the game's development.Finally,there is some perspective of the IPTV C/S game based on the solution of IPTV C/S game in this essay.
