With the progress of science and technology, from the birth of game to the industrialization of electronic game, the value of game has been far beyond the traditional senses it originally has, especially it has brought profound effect to our education. However, people have different standpoints on how electronic game effects our education, while this situation even exist in our education field. So, for this, we really need to have a good discussion about it. Meanwhile, since more and more common people begin to use mobile phone and other wireless equipment, more people begin to know mobile learning. At the same time, with the phenomenon that the performance of mobile phone is improved very fast and more and more advanced game appear on mobile phone, we can feel something will happen. Can mobile learning combine with game and appear in a new way? If can, how to use technology to realize this? Here comes this thesis.The thesis traces to the source of game at the start and opens out what game means to people, deems that game appears from internal need of people. Game is a way how homan beings exist and electronic game is the extension of traditional game in modern society. Based on this, this thesis talks about the relationship between electronic game and education and the educational functionality in electronic game. And then, it brings forward the mobile learning theory, and analyses the feasibility and validity of implementing the game-based learning on mobile platform. At last, this thesis introduces the core technology knowledge of developing program on J2ME platform and expounds how to develop a mobile game in game-based learning model powered by J2ME.
