H.264/AVC is the latest generation of video coding compression standard.There are high compression ratio,better IP and wireless networks adaptive channel;at the same time there is also very high complexity.It is about to be widely used in the areas of video communications.TMS320DM642 DSP is a high-performance multimedia signal processing chips,which can provide better solutions for real-time video signal processing.At present,based on high-performance digital signal processor(Digital Signal Processor,DSP) embedded video codec has become the hot and tough issue of the multimedia industry research and application.The thesis starts from the integer DCT transform algorithm and motion estimation algorithm,and the target for the study is graphic images of real-time encoder,video streaming channel information on the adaptability.DM642 chip is used to achieve the compression in the video stream,so that a variety of optimization strategies used in the thesis can gain better reflection and application.The thesis analyzes the codec structure and complexity of T264,and makes a comparative study on the key algorithm.T264 in the VC environment will run on a variety of formats,QCIF codec test sequences.The high quality of decoding images has been found,but encoding speed is to be increased,thus research on the key algorithm is to be improved and ported to embedded systems to meet the requirements of QCIF format coding of video images achieving real-time channel and lower bandwidth.The thesis,combining differences between VC and the CCS platform,analyses the methods of the code migration and performs choice,optimization and reduction on related algorithm,combining the hardware characteristics of DM642,and the coarse search algorithm is given.In the DM642 EVM Emulation has been realized,and the focus is optimized,including memory optimization,the use of compiler options,C code rewriting,writing a linear compilation,data move optimization,writing parallel compilation,which are effective overall optimization strategies.These optimization methods effectively improve the efficiency of memory access and code parallelism.The design achieves the optimization and the transplant of T264 algorithm on the DM642 platform and compresses video sequences of QCIF format images with different complexity with the speed reaching 35~60 frames per second real-time coding,a DM642 presentation of the video codec system has been built,which has a high compression ratio,channel features such as lower bandwidth requirements. In the end,the practice of research papers will be applied to the embedded video server.The paper's research results in practice can be applied to the embedded video server and provide the design for the server with a good solution.
