H.264 video compressing standard is the latest and the most promising standard since MPEG-2 issued in 1995. Compressing efficiency has been enhanced more than twice than before at the same image quality in the standard. As a kind of new international standard, H.264 marks the continuous progress in the video coding technology and gets success in coding efficiency, image quality, network compatibility and error resilience technology. DM642 is a high-performance DSP in video/image processing. It adopts a well-known parallel architecture: VLIW(Very Long Instruction Word) structure which can execute eight instructions of 32bit and has a strong parallel computing power.The paper used JM which was the official source code of H.264 standard in the part of software simulation. For FMO(Flexible Macroblock ordering) error resilience technology offered by H.264 standard firstly, the paper brought forward a kind of rectangular slices combination mode, used JM1.7 to simulate and validate the experimental data obtained, used JM86 to got differences and analysis of resumed image for FMO experiment.Then the work was transplanting JM programs to DSP platform of TMS320DM642 produced by TI company, DM642 is a 32-bit fix point DSP in the media applications. JM code should be modified and optimized in the transplantation process, C language and assembly language also should be optimized with the characteristics of DM642 at CCS (Code Composer Studio) environment and so on. It was necessary to consider the parallel flowing technology of software in order to improve encoding speed.
