The Research And Design Of Embedded Video Surveillance Server Based On AVS Video Standard

As the development of society and technology,the embedded video surveillance system has improved rapidly.And by the advantages of reliability, small volume and low cost as well as power consumption,its applications are prevailing.In the video surveillance system the web camera is the major device for which the video encoding is the key technology.AVS is a video encoding standard self-developed by China nowadays,which has reaches an internationally advanced level,and its applications are under way.Trs TMS320DM642 chip has multiple benefits to be the core processor in web camera.Thus this thesis designs an embedded video surveillance system based on AVS standard and adopts TMS320DM642 chip as its core processor.The article give a general overview of AVS video encoding standard,and then emphasizes on key technologies of the standard.It introduces the hardware as well as software for developing this system,including TMS320DM642 chip, SSD-DM642 embedded development board and DSP integrated development circumstance(CCS).Then,the article gives the software framework for the system based on RF5 technology,which realizes the functions of capturing,real-time encoding,network transmitting,recording,playbacking and controlling for the video on SSD-DM642 development board.This thesis gives a detailed introduction for designing the key modules of the system.
