Construction Of Document Resources Evalution System In Libraries Of College And Universities

The construction work of document resources in the library of colleges and universities is a base of each job.The height of document quality collected in the library concerns straightly to the development of each service work for readers in the library. The storage in libraries of college and university includes traditional printed resources and digital resouces,with increasing proportion of digital resources.but,the construction of digital document has blindness, randomness and lack of quality consciousness at present.Therefore,an important question for university libraries to face is that how to carry out quality control of digital collections,how to improve the quality of print-based collections and enhance efficiency,how to deal with the relationship between print-based collections and digital collections,how to distribute the library storage and funding in reason to guarantee priority and balance so that unversity libraries can choose the very documents to reach the aim of constructing a high -quality library storage security system.The paper has five chapters.The first part introduces,easily,the background and process of carrying out document evaluation,and.situation of carrying out document evaluation abroad. The basic theory of document resource evaluation.including concept,aim and significance,guidelines,measurement standards.and so on.are introduced in detail in the second part.In the third part,the author discusses the exsiting target system of document resources evaluation system,both of printed document and digital document.In the fourth part,according to discussion of the methods in document evalution,the author put forward the mehod of complex evalution.Author introduce she process in constructing evaluation system in form of examples.in addition,and gives suggeationg for all types of libraries of college and university.In short,document resources evaluation is an important business job,the using of which is ultimate goal.Interoperabilityand easy to implement are a prerequisite for evaluation research.Our attention should be paid to the evaluation of document research resources,effectively carrying out document resources evaluation in the library in order to improve the quality of document resources and services for teaching and research.
