Design And Implementation Of Web-based Paper Management System

In order to ease the paper management works during the technology conferences, a Web-based Paper Management System (WPMS) is designed and implemented in this paper. WPMS uses the fashionable paper management flow for reference, and offers functions for authors, reviewers and program committees to submit, review and manage the papers, which is useful in practice.RUP technology is used during the development of SMS. Rational Unified Process is a software development process. It provided the object-oriented software development method .It regards architecture as the centre, driven by use case and is an iterative and increment software development process. It solves the problems of technology and organization that brought by the expanding of software SMStem's scale, complexity, distribute and importance.Main works and innovations of this paper include:Firstly, after the analysis of existing methods, a reasonable criterion is provided for paper management flow.Secondly, Rational Unified Process method and Rational Unified Process Method is used for systems analysis and design. The detailed use-case diagram, the dynamic model and data model of WPMS is provided, and the system is finally implemented by PHP and MYSQL in windows platform.Thirdly, a O-R mapping model is raised and several mapping rules are also made in this paper. The model and rules are used during the development of SMS and is proved to be available for settling O-R mapping problems in OOA&D.Fourthly, the familiar methods for software protecting is included. And a MD5-based algorithm is developed in this paper for WPMS's protecting.In conclusion, a common purpose system for paper management is designed in this paper.
