The paper studied the Optical fiber cable line Automatic Monitoring System(OMAS)deeply, analyzed the genesis and measurement of the fiber losing. The study of OMAS includes software section and hardware section. The hardware includes the system's built mode and compose device, such as OTDR, OPM and so on. The system software development, include design software module and function application of Monitoring Management Center (MC) and Monitoring Management Station (MS). The system developed by VC++, build the different area network between the MC and MS past the WAN/LAN. Via practice trial, it can precede real-time monitor to the telecommunication cable's transmission performance and work condition by noninterference with normal corresponding.
