The multi-target resolution and recognition technology of high range resolution guidance radar is an important research area of modern radar technology. How to improve the adaptability of modern guidance radar to adapt to heavy clutter and complex multi-objective context is one of the important military needs. Applying high range resolution techniques to"two-dimensional resolution"and SAR synthetic aperture imaging are both solutions to this demand. In contrast, the"two-dimensional resolution"has some advantages. For example, the accumulation time is short, the motion compensation is simple, the imaging angle required is low, it is facilitate to carry the missile at real time by simple compute, and its requirements for ballistic trajectory characteristics are low. Zonary imaging is a reasonable way to carry out"two-dimensional resolution".This paper study on millimeter stepped frequency broadband radar system including zonary imaging and the targets detection, resolution and recognition based on zonary imaging.First of all, the principle of high resolution range profile for stepped frequency radar is analyzed. Then a method for zonary imaging is studied and put forward based on high resolution range profile by using DBS. And a method is put forward to resolve multi-target recognition and moving targets modulating feature selection and recognition. Finally, the new HPRF stepped-frequency radar zonary imaging system is built based on DDS for signal disposal and a new method for signal processing is put forward.In this paper, the mainly research work includes:1. In order to meet the needs of zonary imaging, single-frame-disposal for traditional stepped frequency radar is extended to multi-frame-disposal. A single model that is applicable to two-dimensional-distinguish is established.2. Based on the principle of high resolution range profile for stepped frequency radar, the principle and method of zonary imaging by disposing a series of frames'echo is put forward. After theoretical analysis and simulation experiments for one target and multiple targets, a method and technology project is put forward. Based on the method, multiple targets in beam can be resolved and moving target can be discriminated. A kind of parameter-design which is applicable to traditional SF radar and typical low-repetition-rate SF zonary imaging radar is put forward based on anti-ground-target application.3. A new project for high-repetition-rate SF radar based on DDS is presented, and the signal processing theory and the process is analyzed. A kind of parameter-design for high-repetition-rate SF zonary imaging radar is advanced. Both the theoretical analysis and the simulation experiments indicate that the new system SF radar does better in target resolution.
