Pulse Doppler (PD) radar which uses the principle of Doppler Effect, is not only with the ranging performance of Pulse radar, but also the speed performance of Doppler radar, while the clutter suppression is very prominent. It is a kind of full coherent radar. Radar signal processing is the core of the development of radar technology, which mainly includes the following aspects of the technical content, such as signal selection, quadrature sampling technique, pulse compression technique, moving target detection and CFAR detection technology. With flexible, convenient, fast, economic and other characteristics, radar signal processing simulation is of great significance to the development of radar technology research.Firstly, radar velocity and ranging principle of Pulse Doppler radar and its ambiguity function were analyzed. Then the ambiguity function was illustrated and its several different signals were simulated. According to this, the waveform design method was selected to obtain higher resolution.Secondly, according to the radar detection performance, resolution and measurement accuracy and other performance requirements, mainly a LFM signal was studied. It analyzes the characteristics of chirp signals, and then establishes goals and sets parameters, add noise and clutter in the radar echo. Under the interference of noise, after pulse compression processing clutter, moving target detection, CFAR, filter out the clutter and noise interference, and ultimately get the information of the target. Processor correlation method was selected to achieve the pulse compression section. Pulse canceller cascading Doppler filter group was selected to achieve moving target detection section. For CFAR section, to implement the use of cell averaging CFAR was selected.Finally, a block diagram of a radar signal processing system was builded, establish the objective function, associate and carry out the simulation of it. The simulation results were analyzed to verify treated by the above method can effectively obtain information of the target range and speed to meet the accuracy requirements.
