An Electronic Voting Protocol Based On Blind Signature And Ring Signature

Electronic voting is one of the most important applications of cryptography. Compared with traditional manual voting,the electronic voting can save a lot of money and manpower obviously.At present,the security of developed electronic election is all dependent on central institution,and it requires voters confide in central institution absolutely.If the agency involved in the swindle,it will destabilize the security of entire voting system.But it is very difficult to realize a fully credible secure central in reality.In this dissertation,we have studied the defect of central institution which is over powered on the current e-election.And a new type of e-election protocol is designed.We do such work as follows:(1) A new type of e-election protocol based on blind signature and ring signature system is designed,and which signed with the anonymousness feature of ring signature and the identification feature of blind signature.The features do not only protect the security of protocol,but also weaken the central institution's power. So it is able to protect the security of system,even it has an unauthentic central institution.And in this scheme,any voter can count votes by himself,which shows the principle of election -justness,justice and open.(2) The dissertation analyzes the security of the protocol,takes examples to show the possible way of attacking,and illuminates the defense strategy.(3) In the foundation of the secure communication network,the dissertation achieved the proposed e-election protocol system by using of blind signature and ring signature which is based on discrete logarithm.Then,the simulation of agreement has been done in the local network environment.And the result of the experiment matches the prediction exactly.Taking into account the influence of server computing speed,the system efficiency is satisfied too.
