By deeply analyzing and studying the development experience and current situation of the data acquisition and process monitoring system is used in manufacturing enterprises, firstly a solution of data acquisition and process monitoring which is based on OPC technology is proposed in this paper, aimed at solving the problems extended in discrete manufacturing, such as production equipment diversity, difference among the data acquisition communication standard of different equipment, poor integrated ability among different equipment which makes it difficult to achieve real-time data acquisition and process monitoring.Secondly , the application of OPC technical standard and OPC data access standard in course of production monitoring is expounded in this paper, and analyzing it combined with acquisition data type of discrete manufacturing process, data flow of production course, and organization structure of product records. Then, crucial technology of data acquisition and process monitoring used in production field of discrete manufacturing process is researched, which is based on OPC technology: OPC based network frame study of field bus produce data acquisition and process monitoring, designing of material mark scheme, and studying of control configuration technology OPC-based of assembly process.Finally, based on construct concept model of OPC based production data acquisition and process monitoring system, using United Modeling Language(UML) to construct use case model and database model, and developing product data acquisition and process monitoring system based on OPC technology.
