First of all, the paper analyze the main characteristics of the current mainstream three-dimensional design software—Pro/Engineer and introduce the computer simulation conception, characteristics and applications. Secondly, focus on analyzing the machinery & control system working principle of automatically circumrotated turret and workbench as well as its structural characteristics of HFUT-1 mechatronics experimental teaching platform,in order to laying the foundation of motion simulation. Thirdly, study the essential parts—worm gear and worm geometric structure, build their geometric math model, compile the Pro/Program procedures, accomplish the parametric modeling of parts, and provide the method of parametric modeling by using Pro/Program module. All these works would have some practical value on reducing the modeling cycle, saving design time when building three-D model with similar characteristics. Finally, use Pro/Engineer to set up function parts'three-D models of NC experimental platform, finish its'assembly connection, use Pro/E Animation & Pro /E Mechanism modules to achieve automatically circumrotated turret's assembly animation and the motion simulation of automatically circumrotated turret and workbench. The entire assembly process & dynamic working principle of the automatically circumrotated turret has been clearly reproduced.
