Research And Implementation Of Office Automation System Based On Workflow

Based on system science, taking behavior science as its leading science and utilizing information technology, Office Automation (OA) may improve productivity, ameliorate internal management system, promote the fusion of basic information and provide enterprises fast and accurately with decision-making information.With the development of enterprise information of our country, more and more corporations applied the office automation system inside. But in the process of practical applying of OA, a few enterprises faced many problems. When the structure and business process of the enterprise were changed, the old OA would not content with the office demand of an enterprise whose structure had been changed. These problems restrict the application range and the development foreground of OA mostly. So we need to build OA, which is flexible and can adapt to the changes of business process. Such OA is the one of the developing trend.Meanwhile, Workflow Technology is a new subject in Computer Support Cooperative Work (CSCW) field. It is the key technology that realizes enterprise's business modeling, process running, process supervising and management, and finally realizes automation of the business process.So the paper emphasizes on discussing how to use workflow technology combined with office automation system to implement flexible, universal and strong adaptive OA.At first, the paper sums up the development of OA and workflow technology. After introducing workflow management system, the workflow model, modeling method, architecture, workflow modeling, workflow execution service, monitor and management tools etc are analyzed; then put forward a new method for modeling workflow process based on UML and implement a visual workflow process definition tool. The tool is designed to make users define a workflow just by drag-drop operations and a ".xml" file will be generated synchronously to check the correctness of the defined process in real time.Finally, combined the requirement of OA, a well-structured, easy-to-deploy workflow engine is designed, focusing on the investigation of workflow engine's control model. This design draws lessons from the existing technology and implemented in this paper. At the same time, in the process modeling and process management,targeted trade-off was made, the process of implementation and testing of applications is given.
