Coordinated Control Model Based On The Workflow Engine

The research of workflow technology is a hot spot among business groups and organizations world wild now days. The definition of workflow is the computerized facilitation or automation of a business process ,in whole or part[19].Many companies and researchers throw lots of resource and energy into this field and then achieved a lot. It can help you to take full advantage of resource belonging to a certain group or organization. You can see that this technology is playing an important role of raising efficiency and automation level.WfPM(Workflow Process Model) is a base of the whole WfMS(Workflow Management System). Every change, even a little one on WfPM including the range of usage, can make influence on WfMS directly. With the economic globalization and the obliged situation of competition, there are more and more new methods and ideas added into the field of management especially in business management and organization management. So people pay more attention on the research of WfPM than ever before . From the viewpoint of WfMC, the very important fact is the relationship of Workflow Enactment Service and its five interfaces [19].In their document they just mention the workflow engine with little care. And the set of workflow engines is less mentioned. As a system with more and more complication , only one workflow engine is hard to do more. Different business should have its specific engine to deal with. With this trend, we should have a way to make these different engines go well in one workflow management system.Recent research especially the development of "Micro Workflow" theory[6][7][12] , helped people obtain better insights into workflow technology, understand its interdisciplinary nature, and realize it potential. With the development of object-oriented technology, many people have being tried to use that technology to solve the problem of workflow. But the traditional heavyweight workflow is an obstacle to us. We want it more light and easy to tailor the system functionality through object-oriented techniques. So workflow engines are the object for us to study, then we really focus on building a model to make engines run well and efficiently in one workflow system.
