Research And Implementation Of Workflow Engine Based On J2EE

As a newly developing software technology, workflow technology gradually became hotspot. It achieves the separation between applied logic and processing logic of information system which is the pivotal technology in the implement of workflow automation. More and more enterprises are inclined to apply workflow technology to information management system. The paper studies the problems of design and implementation for J2EE-based workflow engine.Firstly, this paper introduces the general situation of workflow, and then analyzes the deficiency of design in traditional workflow. The paper analysis the workflow system abstract construction defined by workflow management union, and put forward a workflow system structure based on object-oriented and component programming technology. The advanced J2EE technology make best use of workflow management technology advantages. One kind of the workflow engine based on J2EE be realized, and be pasted in the office automation system archives with the process flow examination and approval in obtained the good application.In order to describe the workflow objects with clarity, the paper design a workflow model by the documents' move and business flow approval in office automation system, and discusses this model actual feasibility. The workflow model adapt to the change of the personnel, organization, business process. Also, the process model and organization model are analyzed in detail. In addition, this paper analysis workflow engine system by using UML, design the control structure of the workflow engine, study the engine interface, the message driven mechanism , the exception handling mechanism and objects persistent, use the XML documents structural to design the workflow definition language XPDL, parse the XPDL by DOM4J technology, implement the actives dispatch algorithm.
