Higher vocational education is a new form of education that emerged under current new economic circumstance in our country. As a higher level vocational education, it is an important component of our higher education system. Promoting "capability focused" pattern, higher vocational colleges in our country focused on improving student's technical and professional capability, and have educated numerous specialists who are with " appreciate depth of fundamental knowledge, practical capability strength, wide range of knowledge" and of "high quality" . The history of higher education development in our country isn't long. There is still a large gap between what higher vocational colleges can provide versus what the market really needs, in terms of specialist's professionalism. The media industry in Hunan province is relatively developed. With 141 TV channel exiting, consists of 11 province level channels, 34 city level channels and 96 prefectural level channels, there is a huge demands for News Editing graduates. However, the employments status of graduates with such specialty is not as optimistic as anticipated. Not be able to fully meet what media industry requires, specialty structure doesn't match up with market needs, those factors adds up and resulting News Editing graduates is in over supply in the reality. Some field experts even claims graduates with News Editing specialty are tend to have less potential compare to graduates from other backgrounds. Underpin this phenomenon is that the knowledge structure of students with such specialty have is inappropriate.Based on the practical requirement of media education development, studied relating three cases from two higher vocational colleges and a university, analyzed their curriculum provision implementation, focused on existing problems within those systems, in cooperate with standardized national policies, draw lessons from countries, e.g. America, German, Australia, in which vocational educational theory is well developed, this paper researched countermeasures to those problems occur when reforming curriculum provision in News Editing course. Based on professionalism requirement for such specialty, incorporate with the principal that use " reporting TV news" as one dimension and "collect, write, edit, make, shoot" as the other, "quality focused education" as central line, It is the objective of vocational education to enable students with the capability to "can write when sitting, can talk when standing, can shoot when with camera, and can edit when in the studio" . To achieve this education objective, it is crucial to establish a technical informed education system to properly arrange and mix curriculum system with different nature and content in a permutation and combination manner, through means like " condense, merge, restructuring, increase". It is important to ensure while focusing technical capability, other aspects like humanities, art and professionalism are also considered. It is suggested to structure a curriculum system with integrative vocational capability pattern that is orientated by vocational capability education, implementing " incorporated education " curriculum schedule, moving away from relatively enclosed knowledge educating and relatively narrow professionalism education theory, turn the concept of 'to suit' into 'to adapt', to encourage the optimism of the curriculum provision as a whole. It is also suggested that to incorporate theory and practical experience in teaching, focus on education of integrative capability, practical ability and self educating capability, enable student to can gain basic skills of News Editing and form a solid foundation to become a News Editing specialist with one main strength and numbers of other capacities.Code of Documentary, Code of Investigation and Case Study Rules are studied and followed during the processing of this research. Curriculum provisions from a university and other two higher vocational colleges are studied and analyzed. Existing problems are identified and research on solution of reformation of the News Editing course structure has conducted. The solution is an attempt to provide a higher vocational education characterized integrative curriculum provision that can full fill the vocational capability requirements, closely meet market needs, to enhance graduates' ability to better adapt to the current economic environment.
