The fuzzy condition of extension and connotation in correlation theories research of library informatization causes confusion in concept of library informatization, library network, digitization and automation. The research results are quite many in realization of library informatization, for instance information technology, digitized technology and so on. But the library informatization is not isolated and static. The library informatization both needs to value the hardware equipment and the technical support, and must emphasize software essential factors including knowledge information etc, simultaneously we must value the resources construction, talented person's raise and management and the smooth advancement of information research and policy-making support works. Library informatization support ability will become the library core competitiveness in the future, and it is the safeguard that library bases on the information profession. This paper discusses the elements of library informatization construction, i.e. Information resources ,Information technology , Human resources , Information research , Decision support system ,Information environment. The author describes the necessary of the foundation of Informatization supporting system in library and establishes the Informatization supporting system. In addition,through analyzing the contents and actualities of the elements,puts forward the measures for advancing the abilities of the elements ,so as to provide some help for the theoretic of the foundation of Informatization supporting system in library.
