Research On TV In-Depth Reporting Of Disaster News

The unforeseeable disaster always brings agony to human beings' life. However, disaster is unavoidable. The best way for news media to make maximum contribution when disaster happens is to devote to their duty and report the news well. As a new form rising abruptly in recent years, TV in-depth reporting is good at digging out information and takes up the responsibility of providing all-direction information as well as action referencse to the public and government during disaster.News media of China used to adopt the inactive attitude in disaster news report. This time when reporting to "Wen Chuan earthquake ", CCTV broke the tradition, which brought about certain achievement and some problems as well. This paper tends to find the shortcomings in the news media's in-depth reporting of disaster news by analyzing CCTV's programs related with "Wen Chuan earthquake" such as "Focus Interview", "Military Affairs on-the-spot Report" and 'Telling". Besides, this paper put forward some viewpoints believed to be able to promote the development of TV in-depth news reporting of disaster.
