Image is an essential media in information transfer and exchange.It is defined as a substance which is obtained by various observing systems in observing the objective world,and which can cause sight by acting on human eyes either directly or indirectly.But most of the images that we gained are gray because of the limit of the observing systems.For example:infrared images,low-light vision images,some medical images, and so on.We know that our eyes are more sensitive to the colors than to the luminance.So that we need to change these gray images to color images by the color transferring algorithm.Then we can conveniently identify the target or make other varieties of processing.This paper introduces the basic theories and some classical methods first.Then we present a color transferring algorithm based on image segmentation and color propagation.First,we segment the source image and the target image into some regions by the Mean-Shift algorithm.Then we transfer the colors between individual source image region and the target image region.But we only transfer some part of the color of to target image.Because we just want to obtain the right colors,so we eliminate the wrong colors from the target image which we gain first. Then we gain a part-colored target image.And then it makes the local colors be automatically propagated to produce a fully colorized image.In experiments,the color of the colorized images obtained is very well and the results demonstrate the availability of this method.The method that we present can be conveniently applied to the color night vision.We colorized the fusion image of the infrared image and visual image.The colors of colorized night vision images are very well if we choose the right source image which is familiar with the night vision image.We make the GUI of the software system(the Colorized System of Normal Gray Images and the Colorized System of Night Vision Image) which set our algorithm and some other algorithms in it.The result images which we obtain by our methods and other methods finally can be showed in one GUI.So we can compare the algorithms conveniently. | Keywords/Search Tags: | Image Segmention, Mean-Shift, Color propagation, Color Transfer, Color Night Vision | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
