In recent years,the developments of global positioning systems and wireless communications technology,making the romote monitor to moving objects became a possible.However,with the constant renewal of GPS technology,and the largely use of GPS receivers,make the geometry growth of realtime GPS data, therefore GPS Monitoring System based on traditional single-server,single database architecture could no longer meet the needs of its development.The development of the network technology and artificial intelligence produces a Mobile Agent Technology.Mobile Agent technology is a new distributed computing technology,the calculation entity Which could be sustained under the independent environment to run.Mobile Agent technology not only resolves the problems of distributing by using the new and effective way,but also provides a reasonable conceptual model for the comprehensive and accurate study of Distributed Computing System's characteristics.Recently,the researchesand applications of Mobile Agent technology in various fields have been aroused widespread interests. According to the characteristics of Mobile Agent,whose application in GPS Monitoring System is bound to bring a new kind of distributed architecture, and this distributed architecture has more obvious advantages than other traditional models.This thesis firstly analyzes the inadequacies of traditional GPS Monitoring System,and discuss of Distributed GPS Monitoring System Architecture by introduction of Mobile Agent;Then,gives the systematic introduction of Mobile Agent technology,and on the basis of IBM's Aglet platform,gives a distributed GPS Monitoring System model by using Mobile Agent technology,and emphasizes the design aim of this model,system architecture,Mobile Agent routing algorithm,distributed database and functional modules design;Finally,based on the system design,develops and realizes the corresponding prototype system,and explains using key technology.
