Study And Implement Of Protocol Analysis System Based On Mobile Agent

Most existing network protocol analysis softwares are built in one host to collect and analysis data.It will causes the the small range of monitoring.On the basis of the research on the mechanism of the mobile agent, the thesis proposes a distributed protocol analysis system Utilizing mobile agent technology.Mobile agent technology is the outcome of the combination of distributed computing and artificial intelligence, which is quite different from traditional Client/Server model. It provides a new way to develop network application in the inferior network which has narrow bandwidth and high-frequency congestion.The thesis fist introduces the basic concept, the speciality of the mobile agent and the architecture of the mobile agent system(MAS).Then the thesis contrasts some other distributed technologies to comprehend the mobile agent technology more clearly.Aglet is the most common platform of the mobile agent now.It provides a simple and overall program model of the mobile agent.It also provides a dynamic and effective communication mechanism and a detailed and easy security mechanism.The paper introduces the system frame,the lifecycle,the communication model,the security and the interoperability of the aglet.The paper also summarizes the design mode of the aglet.The paper researches a protocol analysis system, so it introduces the concept of the protocol analysis system.Futhermore,we need know kinds of protocols distinctly in the analysis process, so the paper lists some form of common protocols.On the basis of the research on correlative theories, we develop the system on the Aglet platform.We design and implement five modules called monitoring module,protocol analysis module,management module,security module and configuration module.The system can get data packets from one or more hosts using the mobile agent to expand the range of monitor.We also analyse and test this system and compare it with the Ultra Network Sniffer.At last,the paper summarizes all works done and makes a related prospect.
