With the current pace of urban development, the rapid development of urban transportation, highway tunnels, which are being built more and more, become an indispensable means of transportation. In order to improve the operating capacity and under a state of emergency accident handling capacity of the tunnel, to enhance the safety of road tunnels, it is necessary to achieve tunnel automation, intelligent operation and management, and to establish an integrated Monitoring and Control System of highway tunnels. Highway tunnel Monitoring and Control System should reflect a principle of unified monitoring, centralized management and distributed control. Highway tunnel Monitoring and Control System should constitute a network of tunnels on the highway to carry out the various sub-systems integration, coordination, so that the various subsystems can do information exchange, joint operations, in order of which to ensure the safety of the tunnel operations, the realization of traffic, environment, equipment and state of the tunnel structure surveillance and control to pass to improve the efficiency of the tunnel, the tunnel operators to improve the environment, to detect and rule out the possibility of induced traffic accidents, fires, floods or other disasters, such as abnormal by the default program for disaster prevention and response, disaster control tunnel In the framework of the minimum to reduce losses caused by disasters.After analyzing the highway tunnel Monitoring and Control System on the basis of this paper, two types of Monitoring and Control Systems integration program are introduced: Top-level information integration program and moderate integrated program. This paper use both of the integration program to design system-level architecture of urban highway tunnel Monitoring and Control System and to achieve integration. On this basis, this paper use the design and realization of the Wuhan Shouyi Square Tunnel Monitoring and Control System, in which the authors involved in, as an example, and give an integration program of city's highway tunnel Monitoring and Control System.From the hardware level, this article discusses the use of TCS (Tailored Control System) control system of flexible layered architecture, combined with CAN bus and PLC completed a Monitoring and Control System of integrated hardware, forming a Monitoring and Control System architecture. Serial communication connection configuration between upper and lower layer and the communication process between upper-bit computers and under PLC in the Monitoring and Control System are given. For the integration method on the operation layer, this paper focuses on the configuration software technology of real-time database, analyses the characteristics and operating mechanisms of real-time database. Combined with practical project, this paper describes the design of database in the system, and introduces methods of data integration based on database. This paper introduces the general principles of interface integration, and in accordance with the achievement of the main effects of interface, illustrates interface integration approaches in accordance with user needs. In this paper, control method of subsystems' linkage in virtue of experts' experience is introduced; method of system authority integration is illuminated.The Wuhan Shouyi Plaza Tunnel Monitoring and Control System, in which the author participated, has been running for 2 years. Wuhan Zhongshan Road tunnel Monitoring and Control System, in which the author also participated, has passed inspection, and has put into use. The two Monitoring and Control Systems are stable, reliable, and fully meet the needs of monitoring urban highway tunnel.
