This paper is based on a modern radar direction of development of production, combined with engineering practice, the CINRAD / SA Weather Radar System Project-day wait for the program analysis and the use of CAD software, the use of finite element analysis of the structural principle of the antenna static and dynamic analysis, the selection block of the antenna parts of the force stress and deformation of the natural frequencies. This paper mainly centered on the basic principles of the system, the application of advanced technologies of the radar structure , the research of parts and components of digital modeling, finite element analysis of mechanical structures of these important technologies, etc .Based on these, the following tasks were finished :The status in quo and the trend of technologies of weather radar are discussed.1 .It introduced the present condition and the trend of the development of the weather radar.2.It described the basic principles of the weather radar system .3. It introduced the designing strategy of the weather radar, and illuminated the advanced designing ideas.4. According to the basic principles and ideas of finite element modeling, namely the establishment of a 8.5 meters antenna and antenna block finite element model of the structure.5. It selected Block of antenna impact on the basis of stiffness position to support the shell parts, a static analysis, and optimization of CAD model after the first-order modal analysis 3.6. It made the antenna position of Block and dynamic accuracy of the test,It not only indicate the result is reasonable but also the system of indicators has met the requirements.Through the structural design of the Diameter of 8.5 meters weather radar system, the use of CAD software for finite element static and dynamic analysis, validation of the CINRAD / SA Weather Radar for a reasonable system design and feasibility for the smooth implementation of projects provide a strong theoretical basis.
