As the antenna surface supporting and driving mechanism, the size and weight of the antenna system determines on the structure form of antenna pedestal, the structural strength affects the application range of the antenna system, and the movement accuracy determines the precision of the antenna pointing accuracy and tracking accuracy of the system,anyhow it is an important part of the radio system.Based on the measurement and control needs of a certain type of UAV, this paper designs a small auto tracking antenna pedestal which can be loaded within the standard military shelter.The main contents of this paper are as follows:① Through the analysis, this paper summarizes the principle of antenna pedestal structure, using the method of coordinate transformation of the tracking process X-Y antenna base, through the method of 3D image visual expression of the trajectory tracking X-Y antenna pedestal for a hemispherical surface, and provide a theoretical basis for the selection of structure.② For the overall design of antenna pedestal, through the analysis and decomposition of technical requirements, the structure design, transmission design and shaft accuracy analysis of antenna pedestal are carried out.In this paper, the components of antenna pedestal are determined, and the design of each component is carried out. The antenna pedestal size is optimized for a L×W×H=1115mm×1832mm×1832mm, and the weight is 516 Kg, achieve the goal of miniaturization and lightweight of X-Y pedestal. At the same time, through the design calculation, the main transmission parts design & selection are carried out. Then, the horizontal error of the rotation axis is calculated as 28.1″, which comply with the design requirements.③ The pedestal motion and structural strength situation are simulated and analyzed by use simulation analysis software ADAMS and ANSYS. Through the motion simulation, the tracking trajectory of the antenna base is verified by a spherical surface of a sphere radius 1752 mm. And the antenna pedestal can tracking the target when its flight altitude is 10 Km and the maximum flight speed is 9 Maher. Through the finite element analysis, the structural strength of the main stress components such as fork frame, X shaft and axis is the main stress.Through this research, provide the basis for engineering, pointed out the direction for its structural optimization.
