Antenna pedestal is an extremely important part of the radar system.Antennapedestal design is good or bad is great influence the radar system’s precision,manufacturing cost,processing cycle,maintainability and reliability.Through it toachieve the rotation,location,orientation and other functions of antenna.This paper unifies some radar development project of the081Electronic GroupCo.,LTD.According to the specific target required by the radar system,analysis todetermine the radar antenna pedestal structure.Then according to the structure choosethe design scheme of the antenna pedestal.Then design each main part of the antennapedestal detailed.Analyses and calculate the main design parameters of the antennapedestal.In the process of the design of the radar antenna pedestal,reasonably for the designof supporting and rotating device is a vital link.The core of design the supporting androtating device, in accordance with the requirements of the antenna pedestal on the shaft(such as the direction of the axis, speed, precision, load size, etc.) rational selection ofthe bearing structure, size, grade and quantity accuracy and make reasonablecombination mix, And on this basis to determine the structure and size of the shaft andthe bearing housing of the main structure, and then combined with other aspects of thestructural requirements, determine the complete structure.Specific design process need to consider many factors, load factors such as windloads, gravity loads, inertia loads, friction load, interface factors such as sizerequirements, installation requirements, should be done to minimize the number of parts,The process of design part’s machining and assembly is simple, low manufacturingcost.This paper main research work has the following several aspects:According to thecharacteristics of the radar mobility requirements is not high and the size of the antennasize, determine the structure of antenna pedestal is the pitch-bearing vertical shaft typeantenna pedestal.Analysis and compares the bearing configuration of the vertical shafttype antenna pedestal,determines the final plan;According to the result of calculatingthe load such as wind load, inertia load, friction load of the antenna pedestal drivesystem to determine the motor parameters and total transmission ratio.According to the backlash minimum principle to distribute the total transmission ratio to eachlevel.Calculate and analyses the backlash of the transmission system.Using the finiteelement method analyses and optimize the main stress components such as azimuthbase and pitch π type bracket.Using the hertz method calculate the antenna pedestaldrive system torsion vibration natural frequency....
